Mediterranean rainbow wrasse

Mediterranean rainbow wrasse a sequential hermaphrodite, all individuals start as females and become males later on. This wrasse changes sex after reaching length of around 18 centimeters, maximum lenght is 25 cm.

Coloration changes with sex. The most significant difference is that  females have a brown stripe on the flanks while males have an orange or red one.

Feeds on worms, small crustaceans and molluscs
